- Eat a well balanced diet. People who are going to quit drinking and fight alcohol addiction should prepare his body, mind and entire system for the big task on his shoulder. He must be ready for all the tiring works that will be implemented so that he can overcome the effects and discomforts that may occur during quitting drinking alcohol. As much as possible, he must eat nutritious food to maintain his health so that he will be able to stand the quit drinking procedure. Avoid sweets, food that has high sugar content and spicy foods which can worsen the cravings. Have your food monitored by a friend of family members so that you will know how much or what you are eating.

- Avoid people who are still abusing alcohol and are not stopping drinking especially family members or relatives that are still engaged to the addictive substance. Say no if they invited you even if it is only a single sip. Do not make a situation that will start your drinking and prevent this by not tasting even a single drop of beer or wine.

- Understand the condition, your own condition. This will let you know the in and out of the subject and if you are new in quitting drinking or has just started realizing your drinking problems, you need to be familiarized to the situation so that you will not be confused and disoriented when you implemented the quit dirnking method.

- Be happy. Do not let your emotions conquer your mind. You must remember that happiness is a choice and being happy will depend on how you look the world in your eyes. Do not feel depressed as it will also worsen alcohol cravings and will put your mind into thinking of drinking again.

- Don’t give up. Even though you are experiencing many alcoholic withdrawal symptoms or has feeling of discomforts, you should continue your plans to quit drinking and deal with alcohol cravings. Stop everything that will interrupt your desire to have a pretty and healthier life but rather focus on beating alcoholism so that you can achieve sobriety for the better.

Dealing with alcohol cravings need motivations, determination and a lot of self control in order to overcome them and forget about drinking again. It involves patience and discipline so that you can cope up with the situation when you are quitting drinking. It also requires you to be broadminded to think clearly and focus on the problems at hand. I know you can deal with your cravings just like me. You must always remember that you must overcome this so that you can maintain the sobriety and escape from being a slave of alcoholism.
